Automatic Insect Systems
| Before the prevalence of West Nile virus, insect control was important in the arsenal of every public or private equestrian facility - it's now essential. We carry a complete line of Auto Mist automatic insect control systems to fit any barn or exterior home configuration, as well as insecticides and parts for existing systems. For over 25 years, Auto Mist systems have been successfully used for the elimination of disease causing bugs. Without the annoyance and health hazard that flies and other biting insects cause, you and your horses will feel less stress and annoyance and you'll decrease the likelihood of expensive vet bills. Some of our clients, in humid areas with lots of bugs, are now able to truly enjoy their outside decks, porches and patios after installing an insect system.
An Auto Mist insect control system automatically gives a synchronized spray that evenly distributes coverage of insecticide over an entire facility during each timed spray duration. Helping to control the diseases carried by insects and parasites, thus reducing the potential spread of infection and contamination, these systems are the popular choice of small barns, large boarding/training facilities, and homeowners nationwide. They are versatile enough to fit into any application and can easily be expanded to accommodate facility growth. |

| Available in 30-gallon and 55-gallon models, a basic unit consists of the poly barrel, 1/3 h.p. pressure pump, motor and fully customizable digital timer. We recommend one nozzle for every 12x12 area, and the nozzles - which are nickel plated for corrosion resistance and require no special tools to install - are available in both tee and elbow configurations. The tubing is made from 1/4" high pressure clear vinyl and can also be purchased in black for added UV protection. |
| We sell two types of insecticide. Permethrin is a synthetic, residual insecticide used in most large boarding/training and livestock facilities. Used in conjunction with PBO, which is a resistance additive used to prevent insects from becoming immune to the insecticide, Permethrin is an extremely effective solution for eliminating flies, mosquitos, gnats and other annoying and potentially disease-carrying bugs.
New to our product line - and especially exciting for individuals with chemical sensitivities or those who want a "green" barn - is EcoExempt, which is a 100% natural insecticide made from food grade rosemary, cinnamon leaf and lemongrass oils. |
