High intensity infrared gas (or LP) heaters are the most cost effective method of spot heating barn interiors, wash racks, tack up areas, or individual stalls. Barn and arena low intensity infrared tube heaters

Low intensity, radiant, ceiling mounted tube heaters offer the infrared technology that standard convection heating cannot provide. The tubes can be mounted at the perimeter eave heights at a 45 degree angle or horizontal to the riding space, heating both the rider and the horse without the inherent cost in attempting to heat the entire building. The EnerRadiant XL tubes are available in lengths that range from 20' to 60' with various BTU outputs available, depending on the height of installation. The cost to run infrared heaters is a fraction of conventional convection heating systems, so they pay for themselves in the long run.
